PRMT9는 SCF (SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein) E3 유비퀴틴-단백질 리가아제 복합체의 기질 인식 구성요소로 작용합니다.
이 복합체는 DTL/CDT2, BCL6, PRDM1/BLIMP1 등의 단백질을 유비퀴틴화하고 프로테아좀 분해를 매개합니다.
SCF(FBXO11) 복합체는 BCL6의 분해를 유도하여 생식 중심 B세포의 기억 B세포 및 형질세포로의 분화를 조절합니다.
또한 DTL의 유비퀴틴화를 매개하여 TGF-β 신호전달, 세포 이동 및 세포주기 진행 조절에 관여합니다.
인산화된 p53/TP53에 결합하여 neddylation을 유도하고 전사 활성 억제에 기여합니다.
SCF(FBXO11)은 p53/TP53의 유비퀴틴화를 직접적으로 유도하지는 않습니다.
