Target Information
CXCR2 is a receptor for interleukin-8 (IL-8), a potent neutrophil chemotactic factor and member of the GPCR family. IL-8 binding activates neutrophils through G-protein–mediated phosphatidylinositol-calcium signaling. The receptor binds IL-8, GRO/MGSA, and NAP-2 with high affinity and is expressed in various tissues, including placenta and thymus.
