Target Information
The CDC14A protein is a member of the dual specificity protein tyrosine phosphatase family. It is homologous to Saccharomyces cerevisiae Cdc14, which is involved in mitotic exit and initiation of DNA replication, suggesting a role in cell cycle control.
This protein interacts with and dephosphorylates tumor suppressor protein p53, regulating its function.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
