This antibody reacts with cat IgG and not with the cat IgG Fab fragment, as determined by IEP and ELISA techniques. This antibody may cross-react with IgG from other species.

Target Information

Anti-Feline secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for feline immunoglobulins and are useful in the detection, sorting, or purification of their specified targets. Secondary antibodies offer increased versatility, enabling users to employ many detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence). They also provide greater sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. Most commonly, secondary antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and can be further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to generate highly specific reagents.
