AAK1 serine/threonine kinase는 NAK 패밀리에 속하며, 엔도사이토시스 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 AP-2 복합체의 서브유닛과 상호작용하고 이를 인산화하여, 막 수용체의 소팅 시그널과 AP-2 결합을 촉진하고 수용체 엔도사이토시스를 유도합니다.
AAK1의 kinase 활성은 클라트린(clathrin)에 의해 자극됩니다.
