Target Information
ADAM17 (disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 17)은 TNF-alpha의 막 결합 전구체를 절단하여 성숙한 가용성 형태로 전환시키는 효소입니다. 또한 세포 표면에서 여러 단백질(p75 TNF-receptor, IL receptor type II, TGF-alpha, L-selectin, GH receptor, MUC1, amyloid precursor protein 등)의 단백질 분해적 방출에 관여합니다. Notch 경로의 활성화에도 관여하며, Notch 절단을 매개하여 막 결합 중간체(Notch extracellular truncation, NEXT)를 생성합니다. 유전자 변이는 염증성 피부 및 장 질환(neonatal 1)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
