Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 사이토카인 및 성장인자 자극에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동해 전사 활성인자로 작용합니다. IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화되며, TEL/JAK2 융합 유전자에 의해 유발되는 종양 형성과도 관련이 있습니다. 또한 STAT5 alpha는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 항-apoptotic 기능을 수행합니다. STAT5 alpha와 STAT5 beta는 높은 서열 유사성을 가지며 대부분의 조직에서 함께 발현됩니다. STAT5 alpha는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능 및 성장 조절 등 다양한 생리적 기능에 관여합니다.
