Target Information
DPP6 encodes a single-pass type II membrane protein belonging to the S9B family in clan SC of the serine proteases. Although it lacks protease activity due to the absence of the conserved serine residue in the catalytic domain, DPP6 binds specific voltage-gated potassium channels and modulates their expression and biophysical properties. Various splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
