• For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
• For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD63 (LAMP-3) is a tetraspanin family glycoprotein located in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles. It also appears on the plasma membrane following cell activation and serves as a basophil activation marker.
CD63 interacts with integrins, influences phagocytosis and cell migration, and regulates H/K-ATPase trafficking and ROMK1 channel activity. It functions as a T-cell costimulation molecule and can be used as a prognostic marker in early-stage carcinomas.
CD63 is expressed on activated platelets, monocytes, macrophages, and weakly on granulocytes, B, and T cells. It is identical to melanoma-associated antigen ME491 and platelet antigen PTLGP40.
Dysfunction of CD63 is associated with melanoma and Hermansky-Pudlak Syndrome.
