Target Information
C9는 간과 단핵구에서 합성되는 단일 폴리펩타이드 사슬의 혈장 단백질로, 면역계의 중요한 구성 요소인 막공격복합체(MAC)의 일부입니다. MAC은 병원성 세균의 침입 시 보체 시스템이 활성화되면 형성되며, C5b, C6, C7, C8의 주요 보체 단백질로 구성됩니다. C9는 세포막에 결합된 C5b-8 복합체에 결합하여 12~18개의 C9 분자가 원형으로 중합되며, 세포막에 통로를 형성하여 세포 용해를 유도합니다.
