Target Information
DnaJ heat shock induced proteins, originally identified in Escherichia coli, are regulated by the htpR protein. They play a critical role in the HSP70 chaperone system by interacting with HSP70 to stimulate ATP hydrolysis. These proteins contain cysteine-rich zinc finger regions forming peptide-binding domains essential for chaperone function.
DnaJB4 (DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 4), also known as HLJ1, is expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, and pancreas, with lower expression in brain, placenta, and liver. It is involved in protein degradation, exocytosis, and endocytosis regulation.
