This antibody reacts with the heavy chains of human IgG but not with light chains common to most human immunoglobulins. It does not react against human IgM or IgA, or non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. Cross-reactivity with immunoglobulins from other species may occur.

Store at 4°C until opened. To extend shelf-life, add an equal volume of glycerol (final ~50%) and store at -20°C.
Reconstitute with 1.5 mL of distilled water before use.

Target Information

Anti-Human secondary antibodies are affinity-purified reagents with well-characterized specificity for human immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins.
Secondary antibodies offer versatility and increased sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to one primary antibody.
Typically, they are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, conjugation) to enhance specificity.
