Target Information
INSIG2는 INSIG1 유전자 산물과 높은 유사성을 가지며, 두 단백질 모두 소포체(endoplasmic reticulum)에 위치합니다. 이들은 SREBP cleavage-activating protein (SCAP)에 결합하여 sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs)의 가공을 차단하고, SCAP이 SREBPs를 골지체로 이동시키는 것을 방해합니다.
