Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of PA5-77807 was sufficient for detection of Rubicon in 15 µg of human Hela cell lysates by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 95 kDa.
Target Information
Rubicon (Run domain Beclin-1-interacting and cysteine-rich containing protein) interacts with Beclin-1 and ATG14L to regulate autophagy at different stages.
- Knockdown of Rubicon enhances autophagy, while knockdown of ATG14L impairs autophagosome formation.
- Rubicon functions as part of a Beclin-1–PIK3C3 autophagy complex and acts as a positive regulator of the NADPH oxidase complex.
- Upon microbial infection or TLR2 activation, Rubicon interacts with the CYBA subunit of NADPH oxidase, inducing reactive oxygen species and inflammatory cytokine production.
