Target Information
DNA Ligase IV는 ATP 의존적 반응을 통해 이중가닥 DNA의 단일가닥 절단을 연결하는 DNA ligase입니다. 이 단백질은 V(D)J 재조합 및 비상동성 말단 결합(NHEJ)을 통한 DNA 이중가닥 절단 복구에 필수적입니다. XRCC4 및 DNA-PK와 복합체를 형성하며, 이들은 NHEJ에 필요합니다. XRCC4와의 복합체 구조가 결정되어 있으며, LIG4 유전자의 결함은 LIG4 증후군을 유발합니다. 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 다양한 스플라이스 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
