AKT1 (PKB alpha)는 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, 세포 생존을 조절합니다. 활성화된 효소는 세포자멸사를 억제하고 세포주기 진행을 촉진하며, 인슐린, PI3K, IGF1 등 다양한 성장 및 생존 인자에 의해 활성화됩니다. Akt는 포크헤드 전사인자 및 caspase-9 등의 표적을 인산화하여 세포 생존을 촉진합니다. AKT 경로는 암 치료제 개발의 주요 표적 중 하나입니다.
