Target Information
ULK3 (unc-51-like kinase 3) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in the SHH signaling pathway as a positive regulator of GLI proteins.
It enhances endogenous and over-expressed GLI transcriptional activity in cultured cells and alters its subcellular localization.
ULK3 phosphorylates GLI proteins in vitro and is widely expressed, particularly in tissues with active SHH signaling, suggesting its role as a positive regulator of GLI proteins in this pathway.
