Target Information
MYLK (MLCK)는 myosin regulatory light chain을 인산화하여 myosin-actin 상호작용을 통한 수축 활동을 조절하는 serine/threonine kinase입니다.
Smooth muscle 수축, 혈관 투과성 및 조직 부종 형성에 중요한 역할을 하며, 신경계에서는 astrocyte 성장 개시 및 시냅스에서의 신경전달물질 방출 조절에도 관여합니다.
MLCK는 fibroblast apoptosis를 유도하는 신호 전달 과정의 핵심 요소로 작용하며, 다양한 조직에서 smooth muscle 및 non-muscle isoform이 발현됩니다.
Telokin isoform은 calmodulin과 결합하며, MLCK는 인산화에 의해 하향 조절될 수 있습니다.
