The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Centromeres are differentiated chromosomal domains that specify the mitotic behavior of chromosomes. CENPA encodes a centromere protein containing a histone H3-related histone fold domain required for targeting to the centromere. CENPA is proposed to form a modified nucleosome or nucleosome-like structure replacing conventional histone H3 in the (H3-H4)₂ tetrameric core.
