Target Information
Prolyl hydroxylase 4 (PH-4)는 HIF-alpha를 변형시키는 prolyl hydroxylase 효소입니다.
고전적인 prolyl hydroxylase는 소포체 내에서 콜라겐을 변형시키지만, HIF는 세포 내 단백질로 산소 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Prolyl hydroxylase는 세포가 산소를 감지하는 경로의 핵심 구성 요소로, 산소 존재 시 HIF-alpha의 특정 prolyl 잔기를 hydroxyproline으로 변환하여 HIF-alpha를 분해시킵니다.
저산소 조건에서는 이 반응이 감소하여 HIF가 안정화되고 혈관신생이 증가합니다.
Prolyl hydroxylase 4는 HIF-alpha 단백질의 4-hydroxyproline 형성을 촉매하며, 세포 내 산소 센서로 기능할 수 있습니다.
