Product Specific Information

This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening individual clones to select the best candidates for production.

Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse Ephrin B3/EFNB3.

Target Information

EFNB3, a member of the ephrin gene family, is crucial for brain development and maintenance. High EFNB3 expression in several forebrain subregions suggests its pivotal role in forebrain function.
EPH and EPH-related receptors form the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases, mediating developmental events, particularly in the nervous system.
Ephrin ligands and receptors are divided by structure and sequence into two classes:

  • Ephrin-A (EFNA): GPI-anchored membrane proteins
  • Ephrin-B (EFNB): Transmembrane proteins

The Eph family of receptors are similarly grouped based on extracellular domain sequence similarity and ligand-binding affinity.
