Product Specific Information
This monoclonal antibody (clone 1042) recognizes human Collagen Type IV. Collagens are major components of the extracellular matrix, providing tensile strength to tissues. Type IV collagen is primarily located in the basal lamina and consists of two alpha-1 and one alpha-2-like chains. It is associated with disorders such as Alport syndrome and Goodpasture’s syndrome.
Applications Reported:
Suitable for immunohistochemical staining of frozen (IHC-F) and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (IHC-P) tissue sections.
Applications Tested:
Validated for IHC on FFPE tissue with low pH antigen retrieval. Recommended concentration ≤10 µg/mL. Optimize titration for best performance.
