Target Information
CHMP1A는 endosomal sorting required for transport complex III (ESCRT-III)의 주변 구성요소로, multivesicular bodies (MVBs) 형성과 내포 소포(ILVs) 생성에 관여합니다.
이 경로는 막 단백질, 성장 인자 수용체, 리소좀 효소 및 지질의 분해에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 ESCRT 기작은 세포질 분열의 말기 단계나 외피형 바이러스(HIV-1 등)의 출아 과정과 같은 막 절단 사건에도 관여합니다.
CHMP1A는 VPS4A/B를 분열 중 세포의 midbody로 유도하며, 염색체 응축 및 Polycomb group (PcG) 단백질 BMI1/PCGF4의 응축된 염색질 영역 타깃팅에도 관여할 수 있습니다.
이 단백질은 안정적인 세포 주기 진행 및 PcG 유전자 침묵화에 기여할 수 있습니다.
