Product Specific Information
This antibody detects both the pro (aa 24–406) and mature (aa 67–406) forms of human Renin in direct ELISAs and Western blots.
No cross-reactivity is observed with recombinant mouse Renin, recombinant human Cathepsin D, or Cathepsin E.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS prior to use.
Target Information
Renin is a highly specific endopeptidase that catalyzes the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I, initiating a cascade that elevates blood pressure and promotes sodium retention by the kidney.
