Background
Docking protein 2 (DOK2) is constitutively tyrosine-phosphorylated in hematopoietic progenitors from chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) patients in the chronic phase. It may serve as a critical substrate for the p210(bcr/abl) chimeric protein, which is associated with CML. The encoded protein binds p120 (RasGAP) in CML cells.
