Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
This gene encodes a thyroid-specific transcription factor that binds to the thyroglobulin promoter and regulates thyroid-specific gene expression. It also regulates genes involved in morphogenesis. Mutations and deletions in this gene are linked to benign hereditary chorea, choreoathetosis, congenital hypothyroidism, neonatal respiratory distress, and possibly thyroid cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
