Target Information
AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)은 태아기 동안 난황낭, 장관, 간에서 생성되는 주요 혈장 단백질입니다. 성인에서 AFP 발현은 간암 또는 기형종과 관련되어 있으며, 일부 개인에서는 병리학적 이상 없이 유전적으로 지속될 수 있습니다. AFP는 혈청 알부민의 태아 대응 단백질로 생각되며, AFP와 알부민 유전자는 염색체 4에서 동일한 전사 방향으로 나란히 존재합니다. AFP는 단량체, 이량체, 삼량체 형태로 존재하며, 구리, 니켈 이온, 지방산 및 빌리루빈과 결합할 수 있습니다. 양수 내 AFP 수준은 척추이분증 및 무뇌증 선별을 위한 단백질 손실 측정에 사용됩니다. 혈청 AFP의 높은 수준은 간세포암(HCC), 기형종, 대장암, 췌장암 및 생식세포 종양 환자에서 확인되었습니다.
