• Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
• After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4°C in the dark.
• For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
• Rat anti-Mouse CD8 antibody, clone YTS169.4 recognizes murine CD8 cell surface antigen expressed by a subset of T lymphocytes.
• Exhibits depleting activity when used in vivo.

Target Information

Cluster of differentiation 8 (CD8) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin family involved in signal transduction and T cell differentiation.
CD8 functions as a co-receptor with T cell receptor (TCR) for MHC class I molecules, while CD4 serves as a co-receptor for MHC class II.
CD8 is expressed on T cells, NK cells, monocytes, and dendritic cells as disulfide-linked dimers of CD8α or CD8α/β.
Activation of CD8+ T cells leads to cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) formation, crucial for pathogen and tumor cell clearance.
Differentiation of naive CD8+ T cells into CTLs is enhanced by IL-2, IL-12, and TGF-β1.
