Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human LIGHT. Anti-Human LIGHT-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human LIGHT matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human LIGHT by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human LIGHT (500-P179Bt) as a detection antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human LIGHT.

Western Blot:
To detect Human LIGHT by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human LIGHT is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Apoptosis, or programmed cell death, occurs during normal cellular differentiation and development of multicellular organisms. It is induced by cytokines such as TNF and Fas ligand through their death domain-containing receptors (TNFR1 and Fas).
Cell death signals are transduced by DD-containing adapter molecules and members of the ICE/CED-3 protease family.
A novel DD-containing molecule, Daxx (death associated protein 6), binds specifically to the Fas death domain, enhances Fas-induced apoptosis, and activates the JNK pathway.
Daxx is widely expressed in fetal and adult tissues, indicating its important role in Fas signaling pathways.
