Cytoplasm, nucleus, cell projection (ruffle), cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome.
Localized to the ruffling edge of spreading fibroblasts. Kinase activity only in nucleus.
Localized to the cytosol of neurons and shows prominent staining around either side of the nucleus.
Present in cytosol and nucleus in interphase cells and at the centrosome during mitosis (prophase to telophase).

D형 사이클린 및 INK4 CDK 억제 단백질에 의해 조절되며, tumor suppressor protein Rb를 인산화하여 활성 조절에 관여합니다.
CDK6 발현은 일부 암에서 상향 조절되며, 여러 가지 대체 스플라이싱 변형이 보고되었습니다.
