RPS6KA2 (RSK3) serine/threonine kinase는 ribosomal S6 kinase (RSK) family의 구성원으로, 여러 성장 인자에 대한 세포 반응에서 신호전달 중간체로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 다양한 조직에서 발현되며 특히 폐와 골격근에서 높은 수준으로 존재합니다. RSK1–4는 ERK/MAPK cascade의 하위 구성원으로, RSK2 활성이 결여되면 Coffin-Lowry syndrome이 발생할 수 있습니다. 이 질환은 정신지체와 성장 결함을 특징으로 하며 G-protein coupled signaling의 조절에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다.
