Phospho-JAK2/JAK3 (Tyr966, Tyr939) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of JAK2/JAK3 only when phosphorylated at Tyr966, Tyr939.
Target Information
Janus Activating Kinase 2 and 3 (JAK2/JAK3) are tyrosine kinases involved in cytoplasmic signal transduction. Upon stimulation by cytokines or related factors (e.g., interferons, interleukins), JAKs are activated via phosphorylation at adjacent tyrosine residues. Activated JAKs phosphorylate STAT (signal transducers and activators of transcription) proteins, which dimerize, translocate to the nucleus, and regulate transcription of interferon-stimulated genes.
JAK2 is essential for IFN-γ receptor complex initiation, while JAK1 functions as an amplifier. In some contexts, Tyk2 and JAK3 may compensate for JAK2 function depending on complex positioning.
