Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing (ASB) family. These proteins include ankyrin repeat sequences and SOCS box domains. The SOCS box couples suppressor of cytokine signalling (SOCS) proteins and their partners with the elongin B and C complex, potentially targeting them for degradation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this gene, though some full-length sequences remain unknown.
