Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin, centromeric heterochromatin, and the nucleolus through its forkhead-associated (FHA) domain.
Expression patterns vary by cell cycle stage: perinucleolar in G1, nuclear matrix in G2, and chromosomal during M phase.
Ki-67 is widely used as a proliferation marker since it is absent in G0 cells but increases from G1 through mitosis.
It is valuable for assessing the growth fraction in neoplasms, correlating with tumor grade and proliferation rate.
