Target Information
The TRPM3 gene encodes a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) channel family. These channels are cation-selective and play a crucial role in cellular calcium signaling and homeostasis. TRPM3 mediates calcium entry, which is potentiated by calcium store depletion. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
