Custom TaqMan™ MGB™ Probes are dual-labeled probes that can be used in all of your real-time and end-point PCR applications.

Applied Biosystems Custom TaqMan™ MGB™ Probes incorporate a 5reporter dye and a 3 non-fluorescent quencher (NFQ). The NFQ offers the advantage of lower background signal, which results in better precision in quantitation. The MGB moiety stabilizes the hybridized probe and effectively raises the melting temperature (Tm). This means MGB™ probes can be shorter than traditional dual-labeled probes, which makes them better suited for allelic discrimination applications.

China-made Custom TaqMan MGB™ probes are available with the following reporter dyes; FAM™, VIC™, and NED™. All Custom TaqMan™ MGB™ Probes are HPLC purified. Design Custom TaqMan™ MGB™ Probes for any species, splice variant, or novel gene.
