Target Information
Guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) act as modulators or transducers in various transmembrane signaling systems. G(olf) alpha mediates signal transduction within the olfactory neuroepithelium and basal ganglia. It may also be involved in visual transduction and in mediating hormonal or neurotransmitter effects.
