Product Specific Information

Description:
The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed by developing and mature B cells, but not plasma cells. CD20 may play a role in B-cell activation.

Applications Reported:
Validated for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested on normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples may be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

488–561 nm / 695 nm

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and malignant B cells, some T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 remains on the cell surface after antibody binding, making it an effective target for therapeutic B-cell depletion.

Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
