Target Information
The MAGEA3 gene belongs to the MAGEA gene family, encoding proteins that share 50–80% sequence identity. Variability in promoters and first exons suggests differential transcriptional control among family members. The MAGEA genes are clustered at chromosomal location Xq28 and have been associated with certain hereditary disorders such as dyskeratosis congenita.
