Target Information
OAS3는 interferon에 의해 유도되는 단백질로, 2-5A synthetase family에 속하며 바이러스 감염 저항성, 세포 성장 조절, 분화 및 세포사멸에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 주로 dimeric 2',5'-oligoadenylate를 합성하며, GTP를 대체 기질로 사용할 수 있습니다.
OAS3는 이중가닥 RNA에 결합하여 ATP를 PPP(A2'P5'A)N 올리고머로 중합하고, 이는 RNase L을 활성화시켜 단일가닥 RNA를 절단합니다.
특히 태반의 trophoblast 세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
