Product Specific Information

The TLR3.7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3). This receptor family, consisting of at least twelve members, plays a key role in innate immunity by recognizing microbial molecular patterns and inducing antimicrobial responses.
TLR3 recognizes double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), activates NF-kappaB through MyD88-dependent and -independent pathways, and induces type I interferon production.
TLR3.7 has been shown to suppress poly(I):poly(C)-mediated IFN-beta production by human fibroblasts expressing TLR3.

Applications Reported:
TLR3.7 is suitable for flow cytometric analysis. For optimal detection, PE- or Biotin-conjugated TLR3.7 (revealed with SAV PE, Product #12-4312) is recommended.

Applications Tested:
This antibody has been tested by intracellular staining and flow cytometric analysis of A549 and MRC5 cell lines. It can be used at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimal titration is recommended for each assay.


Target Information

TLR3 (Toll-like receptor 3, CD283) is a member of the TLR family crucial for pathogen recognition and innate immune activation.
TLRs recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and mediate cytokine production for immune defense.
TLR3 is most abundantly expressed in placenta and pancreas, primarily in dendritic leukocyte subpopulations. It recognizes viral dsRNA, leading to activation of NF-kappaB and type I interferon production.
Unlike other TLRs, TLR3 signals via the TRIF adaptor molecule, activating IRF-3 and NF-kB pathways.
TLR3 is implicated in antiviral defense, recognizing viruses such as Influenza A and West Nile Virus.
