Target Information
RBM15 may function as an mRNA export factor, stimulating export and expression of RTE-containing mRNAs present in many retrotransposons. It binds pre-mRNA with high affinity, potentially targeting mRNP to export helicase DBP5 independently of splicing-mediated NXF1 deposition, enabling export prior to splicing. It may also be involved in HOX gene regulation.
