Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Target Information
The product of this gene is an epsilon subunit of the coatomer protein complex. Coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and associates reversibly with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles. It is essential for budding from Golgi membranes and for retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. The coatomer complex consists of at least the alpha, beta, beta’, gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
