Target Information
C9은 간과 단핵구에서 합성되는 단일 폴리펩타이드 사슬의 혈장 단백질로, 면역계의 중요한 구성 요소인 막공격복합체(MAC)의 일부입니다. MAC은 병원성 세균에 의해 보체계가 활성화될 때 형성되며, C5b, C6, C7, C8의 주요 보체 단백질로 구성됩니다.
이 단백질들은 침입 세포의 외막에 결합하고, C9은 C5b-8 복합체에 결합하여 12–18개의 C9 분자가 원형으로 중합됩니다. 이 중합체는 세포막에 구멍을 형성하여 물질이 자유롭게 확산되게 하며, 결과적으로 세포 용해와 세균 파괴를 유도합니다.
