Target Information
Sodium-dependent glucose transporter (SGLT2) is responsible for Na⁺-coupled glucose transport with a coupling ratio of 1:1. In mammalian kidneys, efficient substrate transport is achieved through the coordinated action of low-affinity/high-capacity and high-affinity/low-capacity Na⁺/glucose cotransporters along the proximal tubules.
