Target Information
The encoded protein is an oxidoreductase belonging to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family.
It is localized in synaptic vesicles of postganglionic sympathetic neurons and catalyzes the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine.
Exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms depending on the presence of a signal peptide.
