Target Information
HspBP1 is an Hsp70-interacting protein originally isolated from a human heart cDNA library using the yeast two-hybrid system. The ATPase domain of Hsp70 binds HspBP1, and upon binding, inhibits Hsp70 chaperone activity. HspBP1 also promotes nucleotide dissociation from Hsc70 and can alter the conformation of the Hsp70 ATPase domain, thereby regulating Hsp70 activity that requires ATPase.
