Rab GTPase는 소포 수송의 핵심 조절 인자로, 엔도솜-트랜스 골지 네트워크 구조의 완전성을 유지하는 데 필수적입니다. LRRK2와 함께 망상체 의존적 방식으로 리소좀과 골지체 사이에서 단백질(예: mannose 6 phosphate receptor, M6PR)의 재활용을 위한 역행 수송 경로에 관여합니다. 또한 중추신경계(CNS)에서 신경 돌기 형태 조절에 관여하며, Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi 감염 시 typhoid toxin 수송 중간체 형성에 역할을 할 수 있습니다.
