Target Information

CRTH2 (GPR44) is a chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule expressed on Th2 cells, acting as a receptor for prostaglandin D2 (PGD2).
It mediates chemotaxis of Th2 cells and eosinophils, playing a key role in allergic responses.
CRTH2-deficient mice exhibit enhanced eosinophil recruitment and elevated IL-5 and IL-3 levels, indicating its role in restricting eosinophilia.
CRTH2 is selectively expressed in Th2 lineage cells, with two known transcripts (3.5 kb and 3.4 kb) found in the brain and immune tissues.
Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the CRTH2 gene 3’ UTR have been associated with asthma susceptibility.
