Product Specific Information

The PC61.5 antibody reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2Rα). CD25 is expressed by early progenitors of T and B lineage cells and by activated mature T and B lymphocytes. It associates with CD122 (IL-2Rβ) and CD132 (common γ chain) to form the high-affinity IL-2 receptor. The PC61.5 antibody inhibits IL-2 binding to both high and low affinity IL-2 receptor classes and is useful for studying lymphocyte differentiation and activation.

Note: NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes such as propidium iodide, 7-AAD, or DAPI. Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

The included CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) enhances staining performance and should be added to antibody cocktails prior to mixing with cells (5 µL per sample).

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton technology with engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spectral spillover.

Target Information

CD25 (IL-2 receptor alpha chain, IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor component involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. Together with IL2Rβ and IL2Rγ, it forms the high-affinity IL-2 receptor complex. IL2RA expression is monoallelic in mature thymocytes, and IL-2 functions as a growth and differentiation factor regulating immune responses. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin-2 receptor alpha deficiency.
